How interesting are you??

A beautiful face and a boring mind is boring
A beautiful body with a boring mind is boring
A healthy body and a boring mind is boring
A clever mind can also be boring

People spend time to be beautiful, fit and healthy. But how many of us spend time in being interesting?
Intelligence is like the horsepower of a car and Thinking is like the skill with which the car is driven. There can be a powerful car driven pathetically and a humble car driven very well. It is not what happens to ones mind that makes him interesting. How one expresses what happens and what he causes to happen in the mind of a listener that makes him interesting.

The mind is a playground. The mind is your garden. One plays as he wishes. One grows what he wishes. Just as an impresario puts on a stage show, so you are the impresario of what goes on in ones mind. A good cook can make an excellent meal out of few or poor ingredients. Interest is also about how one treats the info or the experience you have. How do you put things together?

A cook knows to add flavors. In terms of interest flavors takes forms of feelings, experience, relevance and the ‘humenes’. Developing the ability of being interesting is an art. A rare art!

Truth is always of utmost value, but being interesting involves possibilities and speculations. If one doesn’t dare to say something until we double check the facts then the conversation would be limited and very much uninteresting.

Italians have a useful category which is not "truth" but is something which "should be true". A story is said to be ben trovato – which means "well found". An interesting story is always supposed to be true. But then it’s acknowledged that it may well not be true.

It’s not enough to be healthy and beautiful and clever. Why not have beautiful minds as well?? An interesting one?? After all it’s your mind that’s gonna be with you till the very end and it never ages at all !!!!
